Frequently Asked Questions
What should I do to prepare for an airbrush tanning session?
Customer's skin should be clean, dry and exfoliated (exfoliate and shave the night before if possible). This means no makeup, deodorants, perfumes, moisturizers, etc. Any oil residue on the skin can interfere with the tan color or even prevent it from tanning the skin. Lotions and make-up may act as a barrier to prevent the tanning solution from reaching and interacting with the skin. In general, the skin should be clean and free from applied products.
What should I wear to an airbrush tanning session?
A bikini or thong bottom, topless or nude. Darker colors (not white) are recommended. Wear DARK, loose fitting clothing, the colour guide can rub off on some light clothes but should wash out. Allow 10 minutes drying time after your session before dressing. Don't sit on light leather or fabrics until you have washed the colour guide off.
How soon can I shower after an airbrush tan?
Avoid washing your hands or getting wet for at least 6-8 hours after your tan, after which you can shower and wash off your colour guide although best results are when tan is left on for at least 12 hours. Ideally, the DHA application needs about 24 hours to fully develop.
How do I maintain my airbrush tan?
When showering use hand to apply soap or soft wash cloth. Do not rub your body. When drying pat dry gently. Apply moisturizer morning and evening after your first post-tan shower. Moisturize daily thereafter. Hydrated skin is essential in maintaining a longer lasting tan.
